So often in public education we are looking for answers from our school leaders to create positive change in our schools that directly impacts student achievement. This book reminds us that we (all of us), as educators, are all "unfinished." As we grow and learn and the world changes around us--politically, socially, technologically, etc., so too does our career path in education. My biggest takeaway--the reminder that if we give ourselves a chance, we learn from one another through trusting collegial relationships. It isn't about competition; it is about collaboration and authentic connections. This book gives concrete examples, key takeaways and reflection questions at the end of each chapter. This provides a nice summary/wrap up at the end of each chapter for personal reflection.
